GET WELL starts where the previous album ‘Prisoner’ left off. They move even further away from the standard rock & roll sound of the 60s/70s and the band renews itself again by letting in even more than ever before the stoner, punk and now even prog rock influences! GET WELL was recorded in collaboration with Joris Wolff in studio The Church! Although certainly inspired by the psychedelic side of the 60s and 70s, you don’t get the feeling that you are sucked back into the faded Persian carpets that you found at the local thrift store around the corner. Sure, there are psychotic jams – that is certainly not denied, let’s face it – but in the salad spinner with Stoner and Grunge, including the Punk attitude, Birth of Joy is above all a band that has its own (wise) face.
