Out of the ashes, a phoenix rising…Fire Horse! A new Dutch heavy rock trio, born in the darkest hour of rock & roll. But one with almost half a century of experience in bands such as Birth of Joy, Peter Pan Speedrock and Grenadeers: rock band Fire Horse releases its new aptly titled debut album ‘Out Of The Ashes’ on the illustrious Haarlem record label Suburban Records. The band, named after bassist Van Elderen’s year 1966, has risen from the smoldering ashes of what once was. According to Chinese astrology, the Horse with the element of Fire is reliable, temperamental, excitable, lively, enthusiastic and optimistic. Fire Horse musically harks back to both the ’70s and the ’90s and, in its own words, navigates between heavy power rock and post-grunge : from desert rock a la Masters Of Reality and Queens Of The Stone Age to Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, Royal Blood or Wolfmother.
