Show favoritesMark Bogert is a Dutch rock guitarist, known for his work with the rock bands Magoria and Knight Area. Over the past decade, he has also released two solo albums. In addition to his work with his main bands, Mark frequently performs as a session musician. In 2024, he stepped in as a guitarist for the British progressive rock band Arena, replacing John Mitchell during their tour. That same year, he was named Guitarist of the Year in the Benelux by Gitarist magazine. Later in 2024, Mark also performed in the theater show Storytellers Gitaarhelden, alongside renowned guitarists such as Harry Sacksioni and Maarten Peters. Now, he’s ready to release his highly anticipated third solo album! The music on the new album ‘Antiquity Neon’ can best be described as instrumental rock. The guitar replaces the vocal melody, so to speak, with strong and narrative melodies and clear song structures taking centre stage. During the recording of the album, Mark invited various musicians with whom he wanted to collaborate. Among others, he managed to enlist bassist Stuart Hamm (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai) for a contribution on the new album.
