Neil Young's album *Time Fades Away* was released in 1973 as his fourth studio album. The record captures live performances from his 1973 tour, which supported the *Harvest* album, but it notably excludes any tracks from that previous release. The album features a rawer and more unpolished sound compared to his earlier work, reflecting the turbulent period in Young’s career marked by personal and professional challenges. *Time Fades Away* showcases a mix of rock and country influences and includes live improvisations and new material, underscoring a shift in Young’s musical direction at the time.
