Suicide is an influential American electronic protopunk duo consisting of Alan Vega and Martin Rev. Their self-titled debut album, *Suicide*, was released in 1977 and is recognized for its minimalist electronic instrumentation and confrontational style. The album features a combination of synthesizers, drum machines, and Vega's distinctive vocal delivery, which helped to establish the band's reputation in the emerging punk and electronic music scenes. *Suicide* has been noted for its impact on later developments in electronic music, punk, and industrial genres.
