Lou Reed’s album *Coney Island Baby* was released in 1976, marking his fourth solo studio project after leaving the Velvet Underground. The record showcases a more mellow and introspective sound compared to some of his earlier, more experimental work. It includes a mix of rock and folk influences, with lyrics that often explore personal themes and relationships. *Coney Island Baby* received a moderate commercial response and has since been noted for its candid and straightforward songwriting.
